Audrey's First Bath

I realize it's a little late, she's almost two months old! But it's too cold in the winter to get a tiny baby all wet, and plus I couldn't wash away that delicious newborn smell. So today she had her first bath with her big sister. She cried a little, but also kind of liked being swished around in the water. I didn't use any soap on her (her skin is so healthy right now!) and took her out when her little fists started to turn purple. She's getting so big already!

Having a BABY for a sister

It isn't that exciting. All a baby does is lay around.



Haven has fun by the various ways she tucks Tiny in. (Tiny is what we have taken to calling her, I suppose eventually she'll grow into her name.)



And of course, it was inevitable that Tiny would have a go at the dolly bed.

Hide and Seek

Still a top game around here!! In this case I was innocently nursing the baby when I hear a yell from Haven's bedroom, 'Mama! Start counting then come find us!!'

Haven's happy place

Haven and Audrey snuggle every night before Haven goes to bed. Haven requests that Audrey sleep with her, but I have to tell her 'Not yet, when she is older you two can sleep together EVERY night.'

You'll notice that Audrey has a pacifier. She just learned to use one tonight and it seems to have revolutionized my role as a mom, as in I am able to put her down for longer than a few minutes. She has spent about an hour now just sucking away at the thing... on the one hand I am relieved to be able to get a few things done, on the other hand I am a little heartbroken I can be replaced so easily by a little piece of plastic.
