Three new little babies

Apparently since the world is ending, everyone wants chickens and it's been a race to get the chicken breeds we want. The Barred Rocks were sold out by the time we got there, but we got two Black Australorps and a Rhode Island Red chick. THEY ARE SO CUTE!!! Except for the pooping part. Like any other newborn, it seems all they do is eat and poop. But we are very excited to welcome them to our family.
















Haven is still pretty afraid of them. She is convinced they are going to bite her, even though I keep assuring her they have no teeth. She also got mad at them when one pooped on her mommy's hand. But still she is constantly asking to hold them, and threw a fit when I moved them out of her room so she could sleep tonight. Hooray CHICKENS!!!!!

Last weekend Grammy and Grampy and Uncle Ben came for a visit. A LOT of stuff got done around here.

For one thing, our chicken coop and aviary are complete and fantastic. Any day now we'll bring home four little chicks. We are all very excited about the new additions to our family.




















Haven also got an early birthday present. She is extremely excited to have her very own swing set. She'll be even more excited when she is tall enough to actually swing on it!!
